This position is full time permanent and located in Kansas City metro area.
Job Summary:
LAMP PHP Developer works on a variety of web development projects including programming. Job Responsibilities include: Designing, developing and maintaining multiple applications in a team environment on a particular project from start to finish. Implement changes to keep project in line with overall technical direction of company. Work with other developers to insure compatibility with core services. Independent worker able to meet deadlines. Must be an expert at building user interfaces using PHP and MySQL in a Linux environment, with excellent HTML and JavaScript skills. Demonstrated AJAX experience is desirable.
Qualifications/Experience:
SQL and PHP skills.
Additional languages (C, C++, Perl, Python) beneficial.
Must be able to write and debug advanced SQL queries.
Understanding of advanced Object Oriented Programming principles.
Able to solve complex, multi-dimensional problems.
Understanding of internet services.
Understanding of networking protocols.
Experience with scaling a website and working is a website with high volume traffic.
1-3+ years experience.
Essential Functions:
Design, develop, maintain and optimize secure and scalable multi-tier web applications.
Comfortable with both object oriented and procedural programming methodologies.
Experience with PHP5 and MySQL5 preferable.
Knowledge of AJAX development a plus.
Comfortable compiling Linux software packages.
Understanding of software development life-cycle and best practices.
Proficiency in working and developing on Linux (any flavor debian, redhat, ubuntu, slackware etc.)
Education: High School
